yeah but u lose some horse power from the drag of the muffler bearing and the downforce on the rear wheels.

If you add blinker fluid it helps a lot though. Plus if you upgrade your powerband to one from a BBC you can gain some low end.

Speaking of transmissions.
I think my 2nd gear syncro is dieing, I cant hear it grind but sometimes I can feel it in the shifter. The other gears are kinda slow to sync up too. Maybe it needs the fluid changed?

Do you double clutch? If not then you should, it saves pretty much all the wear on the synchro's, as well as saving the clutch quite a bit.

I do need to try double clutching the 1-2 shift. Car also gave me crap over going into 1st the other day at a light. I discovered today that the car is nearly impossible to start if its been raining. Probably wires or cap and rotor.

I now double clutch everything and the car drives way better till I can afford some redline MT-90.

Hehe, I learned to double clutch on the first car I drove when I was about 10 (the car had no synchro on first-second). Since then I've always done it. Hearing someone downshift without double clutching just makes me shudder. It doesn't sound right.

I did it for the lulz, in other words, IDGAF and I think its funny. I'm getting rid of the Mitsubishi the second I can afford something better, my K frame is rotting out, as are the upper control arm mounting points in the rear suspension. I only bought the car because I could no longer stand not having one, and I knew nothing good would come up until I had a car.
