now that you mention it i cut halfway through the tailgate on my dodge pickup with a skilsaw once building a miniramp. didnt notice till i was halfway through. not to mention we used to cut sheetmetal all the time with a skilsaw and the blade on backward. loud but effective

I don't know what it is about skilsaws but they get away from you and buzz through just about anything.

Ah we have one of them i think, in greeny blue. Pretty good grinder IMO. Havent really abused it though.

Whenever I have a questionable disk I break the hell out of it so It can't be used accidentally.

If you look at the grinders in this thread, they all have a flat on the top. That is so you can safely set it down without having to wait for the blade to stop.


Whenever I use my grinder, I make sure I know where the sparks are going. I also make sure to keep my face and as much body as possible out of the line of rotation.

Keep a firm grip with both hands.
