I said a lot more than that in your other thread including the possibility of you needing a larger rear sprocket. I weigh 235lbs. and ran a kart with a very similar final-drive ratio as yours for quite awhile without any problems, although I was using a more expensive 1" race clutch.
Sounds like you probably should go with a much larger rear sprocket but I was kinda wondering If that oil spraying out of your engine might have got
inside the clutch? if so that would definitely cause your clutch to slip, get hot and smoke regardless of your gear ratio.
