not really cause when u think about it when u pull start the engine your self u dont pull the rope at 1600 rpm the rpm is quite low untill the engine fires and your away
also iv seem this system work

Clutch is obviously overloaded.
Should never get so hot that it can not be touched...probably toast now.
Reverse what you have done and oil probs will stop.

Huh? those clutches get too hot to touch all the time.

I said a lot more than that in your other thread including the possibility of you needing a larger rear sprocket. I weigh 235lbs. and ran a kart with a very similar final-drive ratio as yours for quite awhile without any problems, although I was using a more expensive 1" race clutch.

Sounds like you probably should go with a much larger rear sprocket but I was kinda wondering If that oil spraying out of your engine might have got inside the clutch? if so that would definitely cause your clutch to slip, get hot and smoke regardless of your gear ratio.
