Went out today with Grampa and I found an 91 EX500 Kaw with harness, well everything to make it run for $300 it has 5100 miles on it watched a fella take the motor out of bike today. I think it's a cool find for the money we gave for it.

We have rear a-arms finished, here I have a lever that I'm using for a shifter; it's off a razor scooter that fold downs the handle bar. Thought it would do for shifter.

We're almost there, spent most of the night and today putting this buggy together the four of us. Now lacking the rear shocks it has turned out very well to say the least. Most of the parts came from our local salvage yards and a speed shop. I've got about, well not quite $600 dollars yet in to it. Most parts were free what daddy, grampa and my uncle did for me at there work. Learning if you look in the right places you can build one of these buggies, but having the resources helps. Now having the jigs, we can build my cousins buggies as well.

Parts list:
square tubing from grampa= free
all the plate work, my uncle= free
PTO axles Tractor and grampa= $80.00
axle and hub shafts daddy= free
coil over parts, daddy= free
coil spring and shocks, speed shop= free
seat, roll bar padding and steering wheel, speed shop= free
master cylinders and rack and pinion, salvage yard= free
wheels and front tires,= I had
rear tires, Tractor supply= $180.00
tread plate alum., uncle= free
engineEX500Kaw,= $300

Master cylinders and slave cylinder are off of a Toyota pick up clutch pedal. Daddy said instead of using the cable to depress the clutch we could use the slave cylinder off the truck. Borrowed the blue gas tank not to sure I'll use this kind of tank or not, but it does work that's the main thing here. Did not have enough tread plate to do the floor pan still looking for something that is lite to use.

Looks good, I'll bet it's going to be a fun ride.

You not kidding, I can't wait until it's completed still lacking a few things; but I'm glad how far along it is. In hopes of riding it by next week end. Right now though everyone is wore out spending all there time on this project their wanting sleep.

For got to show this pic of the tank and here's the front shot, the holes in the hood or bonnet what ever you want to call it are for the two master cylinders, so it would sit flat. I would like to order one of those hoods from the Edge, but daddy said they might not sell us one cause we did not order their plans to build one of these buggies. We're not in the business of selling the buggies we just wanted to build one as cheap as we could to see if it can be done. We all have had fun doing this I love these guys they are my world.
