My uncle, brought out to me this morning the lower of what he called lower frame on two pieces of paper, said that I'd have to place both half's together to make it whole. Also told me he would have rest to me later.:wai:

Grampa, and I placed that print on a piece of OSB sheeting and took some one bys strips and a sharpie drew out the lower part of frame, when I get the top part we'll put it on the other side. This will be our first jig..

Not sure is more excited me or gramps, daddy or my uncle on this build!

Pics, are really hard to down load here, I'm much further along.
Here's some more prints my uncle brought to me Monday evening. Grampa and I have all ready made upper and lower part of frame, as long as it takes to down pics I'm going to leave a lot of putting together and get to the heart of this.

Both side of jig is done, going to start A-arm jigs(front&rear) front up rights. My uncle said that the rear end was a small challenge to do, but thought he could have it a day or two.

This sweet or what? At this rate I'll have this going by school starts at least that's the plan:drool5:

I'll be driving soon in October, have a 95 Chevy 4x4 Ext cab I have paid for all ready; working hard out at grampa's farm:wai:

Finally, it loaded front a-arm and up right jigs. I'm glad Daddy's a machinist, this makes it go fast with all the help I have. He also told me when he called that he will bring home them shocks home today after work.

Trust me, making the frame is easy as pie, the finishing details take forever. I to am building a Piranha with a GPZ750. What kind of engine are you planning for this?

Not sure as far as engine, kinda what ever I find and that works. Went out the other day looking for racks and not an easy task, trying to find something that will do the job. Escort racks are very hard to find, they very old not many to find unless you get new. Looking on Ebay hoping to find something that might work.

i think they ar too popular with custom projects due to there ruthless simplicity and their design

any rack will work just make sure it is not power steering and make sure it isnt too slow ratio wize

I agree, making the frame hasn't been all that bad. Locating parts on the other hand has been a chore, still needing wheels, rack, rear shocks, steering wheel, seat, padding, seat belt, the list can go on. I have this so far:drool5:

Mmm... your build is so clean . I didnt put much attention in the dimensions of my sidewinder frame. :D

And yeah, making the frame is easy, straight on work. Fabricating the small "unimportant" things is a pita.

Have here a rear a-arm jig, moving along looking to have the beings of the rear end started. We all have been busy at this staying up late, well daddy has been; he's been working on most of shafts and bolts. Grampa and I went Tractor supply store picked up PTO shafts.
