IT'S FINISHED!! finally.....

Well, here's the finished product..

We had it running and driving around the backyard, unfortunately our yard is a normal suburban block so we couldn't "open it up" properly. Plenty of sideways action, lots of fun to drive.

Sweet! When do you think we can see a vid of it running?

I'm hoping to get some video footage later today or tomorrow.

There are a couple of "fine tuning" jobs I'm doing at the moment:

The fuel tank was leaking so had to change that (and make a new mounting bracket)

Install some heel rests under the pedals

Install some padding on the seat - My Wife's request...

Here is a video link. I couldn't figure out how to place the actual video on here in the same way everyone else does it - probably just my limited computer skills...

The kart is not being driven anywhere near full throttle, unfortunately there are fences in the way!
The field behind our back fence is looking inviting...

Probably :lolgoku: Simply copy & paste the link in the address bar at the top of the page, like this:

:D

Edit: Oh, well, that didn't work, Robert must be playing with the settings :ack2:  :worried2:

Man, that thing is looooooong & narrow; good thing you have lots of room, the turning circle would be huge...

With the nose piece the kart does look very long. The nose piece was an afterthought, mainly to prevent frame & steering damage in a collision - Kindly donated from a friend's pile of race kart parts.

I was surprised at the turning circle - thought it would be like a barge but it's not too bad. Turns are easy on grass - use the accelerator as well as the steering wheel :D

We had some breathing difficulties so I bought a Uni Filter today, much better now. At the moment I'm using the torpedo exhaust however my friend has kindly offered to fabricate an exhaust so that's the next thing.

I guess these karts are never really "finished" because there's always something to modify and improve:lolgoku:
