I called Helen Waite, she transferred me to Miss R Ibell. That was rough. Cortina preceded the Escort I believe.

That one was actually easy. There were 3 or 4 Dymaxions built. But I think GM’s L’Universal was cooler. All of the engineering was done, all that was left to do was order up the tooling. Then the plug got pulled.

I needed my handicap because I'm WAY past 60. And one of my high school friends even had one, or maybe it was a Vauxhall. We just called it his English Ford. Didn't look anything like what you posted. It was probably from the 50's, and it was a 4 door sedan. So you had me stumped as well. But in post # 13, you said that this was " Basic Gearhead Tribal Knowledge ". You are clearly guilty of misleading the assembly. I have always considered myself a gearheads gearhead. And I don't hold any prejudice against English cars. I know my MG's, Triumphs, and Healeys pretty well. But a Cortina, and on top of that it was disguised as a race car. We'll clearly needs the authorities to probe this matter more deeply.
