Lever and filter came in.
Got them installed right quick. No drama with those parts. But,
See if you can spot the problem now.

I kept adjusting the cable and it would work once or twice then get loose again.

Pulled the cable and reset it at the caliper end and again one or two pulls and it was slack again.

Back to the part store....

I also cut some tape that was holding the cable. That was some mighty good tape.

Looks like Your wheelie bar works pretty good. I don't think I would raise wheel any higher.

Ideally, control surfaces should remain in contact with the ground. But that looks like a hoot!

Yeah, just that little bit was a blast. I was giggling like a skool girl.
I had no brakes and I kept reaching for a foot brake like my real bike.

Ill pick my feet up eventually Denny, I was still a little gun shy. And I'm probably hard headed enough.

And ponchodog you know I'm gonna have to try the stunt mode setting. At least once anyway.

I couldn't stand the stupid square tank no more. Besides the lid leaked and I didn't really have it mounted well.
So hello new tank.

Im never sure about the free spark plugs, but at least the filter has a magnet in it to find lost nutz.

The outlet might pose a little challenge but I can do anything! Some things just take longer.

20250830_181205.jpg

The pet rooster is also gonna fight me. A straight out would work but this one has morning wood.

20250830_182414.jpg

Down might work, but then you have to give it a reach around to turn it on.

20250830_182426.jpg

Not sure I want to live like that. Lol.

I don't have much room in front of the seat either.

Hellion, you might want to look away or at least put on your thunder buddy shirt. Things are about to get wild!

Choppy chop chop.
Point to where he hurt you. Lol.

20250830_183610.jpg

Using the bracket supplied I drilled a hole and a bolt to make a center attachment instead of the standard mount. Being resourceful.

20250830_194457.jpg

Used the original bar for the rear of the tank. And a scrap piece of strap for the front mount.

20250830_194532.jpg

Did the same for the seat..not rocket science.

20250830_200649.jpg

Looks much better.

20250830_195044.jpg

A little metal glue...

20250830_212708.jpg

And a finished product.

20250830_215446.jpg

Moving the seat back really help with sitting position for an adult.

20250830_220855.jpg

I then had to go do more wheelies.

I got a few surprises in the mail.

Looking back a page or two, the stock seating position was a bit of an eyesore you know, with that extra frame exposed behind it. Never noticed that before on a Doodlebug. Now, astonishingly, it looks proper and aesthetically pleasing. 🤯 I can't tell you've 'been there' either.

Can't say enough good things about the new teardrop tank. It too is 'aesthetic'. All the tank needs is some sun scorched paint and a few nicks, lol

I now fully support this endeavor. 🍻
