Can you sit further back and carefully modulate the throttle to avoid getting bucked off or is it just too touchy (for everyday folks)?
The charm (or hazard) of the classic "box frame" minibike is surely due to the rear wheel being tucked under the seat, becoming a pivot point for non-stop wheelies. The safer minis must be something like a Taco Frijole or something...

Hahaha. Throttle modulation. That stock carb has little of that. It feels like it's idle and wot. There's a middle ground, but there's no feel to it like a slide carb would have.
You can sit foward but then me nuts are in the triple tree.
Its just silly fun to ride around the yard. Any twist of the throttle is just spinning the tire. Made a long rip to feel top end, didn't make it. Just bladed the property and it's a bit soft packed. The handling was horrible because of that. Id guess it made 30mph and had some more to go.
Now I see why they make frame stretch kits or flop the axle out side the box.

I think you nailed it with that wheelie bar. Time to see how hard it will leave from a dead stop.

I opened the garage to this....
Some how it just fell off the table.
Broke the brake lever and I got about a half quart of oil out of the air box.
Pulled the plug and checked the cylinder. It was OK. Intale valve must have been open.
I thought oh good I just oiled my filter.
Lol. It wouldn't start. I thought oh great, something else broke.
Pull the filter and it fired right up. Put filter on. No runs.
New filter and lever on the way....

Propylene glycol and water in the front tire worked for me when I put a 212 on a Doodle with a CC. Cannot imagine me trying a TC on that combination. My tailbone just recently stopped hurting from the landings in 2020.
And, @Hellion , posting a Frijole with a Hodaka engine is not a good example of a "safer" design by any means.

Cut a few tabs on the cnc table and smashed the tube ends. FA did a better job. I didn't have a fancy die like he does. I just have a hammer and anvil.
Using the eyecrometer I got the lower bar aligned and a few tack welds.

After looking at it and trying to decide on how far i want the wheel to be off the ground I realized something. Funny how you think you had a good plan at first.
Im adding an unnecessary stress point. Let's fix that.
Ill trim that off in a bit.
After mulling the height over I decided to go with an adjustable design.
I have safe, normal and stunt mode.
In other words.
High, medium, and low.
Stay tuned.
