i think the briggs idle nicer to if you get them tuned. the compression release on the clones means you have to idle them a bit higher than i like the sound of. i have had 3 different flat heads and loved them. i have 1 Tec that the carb is always a problem with. because of the bang for your buck thing, my to latest projects have had clones, and they run great as well.

I would assume so, thats how it is on my tecumseh (which happened to throw a rod, very strange since its a tecumseh...HAHA).

The one I pulled apart didn't but I've seen pictures of clone cams with a centrifugal compression release.

yep its on the cam. and pops open the exhaust valve slightly at low rmps.
