Had to move the front cross bar that the motor mount tabs are welded to. Needed to move it up to match the rear. Doing this allowed me to move the front jackshaft up. So the chain would clear the middle jackshaft. Anyway packaging the drivetrain is always two steps forward and 1 step back.20260225_193946.jpg

Well, they sent me rockers for the gx270. They can't send me the correct rockers, that I paid for because there out of them and sold them to me "below cost"......

They should. To there credit. I messaged them on a Sunday and they have responded quickly. When they come back in stock at that website I assume the price will go up. At that time I will see if they will honor there price

Decided to in the meantime buy some NR racing 1.3 rockers. Also threw up an axle on the buggy. I will need to shorten each axle 2" btw.20260301_185839.jpg

Gage rockers are probably the best, but I think that you'll be happy with the ones from N R Racing. They have pretty good stuff.

Ive been happy with the 1.2 from NR, and there's a guy on another forum that's been running them on his golf cart for years. So they may not be the best, but definitely good enough.

Just went to NR website. They have what you wanted in stock. Certainly doesn't say much for bullfrog motors. We'll send you a part that doesn't fit your engine, so you can't use it. But we'll discount the price. How nice of them. Sorry to rant.
I like dealing with reputable companies.

Wasn't my intention to bash them, just venting. Unless its blatant horrible service I try to give a company the benefit of the doubt the first time I deal with them. Mainly because there could be one bad apple in the batch , and I would hate to write off a good company.

I emailed nr racing today. Asking about the best head setup for my motor combination. (I have there rockers and cam) they were responsive and gave me some good info. I was asking if I should up my intake valve size and for my application they advised against it. Also they would recommend a small port head. I need to check to see if I have a large or small port head

So, I have a large port head. A small port is recommended so that's on the table for now.

Rocker arm update:

Through ebay whom I bought the gage rockers through, I sent a message to bullfrog motorsports asking where we stood on everything. They imediatley replied "
I need to send you a return label to get those back.
I've got the correct rockers coming in to ship to you."

Ok cool I thought!

I immediately received a return label. A few hours later I received a call, from bullfrog motorsports! He wanted to make sure I got the label, and would ship out the new correct rockers in a few days!

So, we will see how it turns out but its looking good!
