Ussualy , on those thing, if you follow throtll cable, it is split into two directions on one point. One cable goes to the carb an second goes to oil pump..
From my expireince, if you use your own mixture on some rpm range there is a lot more smoke , it is a bit cleaner if you use stock settings.
But like other guys said, to be sure use your own mixture ...
