You see the slit in the band? On mine a cotter pin goes through that and the bolt keeping it center over the drum.

I can't see a hole through your bolt though to accept a cotter pin, but you could always drill one after you get the longer bolt...

Any method of keeping it center though, be it washers, tubing, bolts, a cotter pin, should all work.

I see something no one has mentioned yet; in the pic in post #76 there's no set screw in the drum; this indicates that, not only may the drum have moved on the axle but, the drum may not be fastened to the axle, drastically reducing it's efficiency...

My advice is leave the band where/how it is, align the drum to the band & properly secure the drum to the axle using the required two set screws with a drop of blue loctite on each...

OMG!!!! Good catch! I didn't even catch that! However, the anchor pivot still needs to be secured as well....

You are correct, good catch. I have a replacement drum unit and screws. There is one set screw in there now and the drum can't/doesn't rotate but it's certainly not properly secured for the long term.

The band ends up slipping 1/2 way off the drum after a couple firm stops.
