Hello, Just got on, I got a run down Klipper Kart Sidwinder to fix up and will have questions. Looks like a fun machine. The rear tires are shot and the drive mechanism is missing. It has a Tecumsa OHV 5hp engine. The Kart has been sitting outside long enough for grass to grow out of the seat.

The recoil is shot too, return spring either broke or unhooked. It's riveted together so meant to be replaceable. Don't want to spend cash on a motor that seems a bit low on compression so I put a little gas to it and roped it. Running on the 3rd try but not good, the fuel system is a mess from the filter inward. This stuff I can probably fix up so it's become worthwhile to get the motor going -since it will kick. The recoil, I can get.

Sounds like a good story, you hit the ground running. Klipper karts are solid and desirable.
Rarely is any kart engine worn out, they’re just neglected. Might need a valve job and a regular tuneup.
