This is just some info on my new old Simplicity large frame 7116 that I've been working on.It's a great tractor, I've been getting a lot of use out of it between the plow and hauling stuff around. The deck will also be running pretty soon. Can't wait! This thing runs incredible, its a 16 hp single cylinder flathead by Briggs and Stratton. It's amazing driving it on trails, it kind of keeps egging you on to go faster. You hit a stump, or even a medium size tree, and this thing just goes right over it and does considerable damage in the process :roflol: . It's the best tractor ever
Oh yeah and that is a custom seat made out of a kitchen chair!

Sweet! Restroing tractors is another thing I do. Now I'm building a puller. Good luck with yours! Looks fun!

I'm actually working on a tractor buildup :wai:

I took it out for a spin on the road.. it's scary fast. No brakes, and the steering wheel has tons of play so I can't hold still, needs to be welded. It's a 4 speed + reverse with 2nd not working. Needs alot of work. Here's a picture.

Nice lookin' tractors everyone! Here is one of the few I currently own. It's got a 10hp Tecumseh that runs decent (needs a carb cleaning though) and a 4 speed tranny.

Can your tractors wheely? My friend has a 7hp flathead honda lawn tractor and it can pop a pretty mean wheely... couple feet. You'll flip if your not careful.

The sears we used to have would pop one a good foot if you dumped it in 6th. The newer 17hp is too front heavy to do anything past 6 inches and the POS walmart special with a motor 4 horses smaller than it came with cant wheelie due to the clutch setup (its also the trans, like a manual CVT).

My green tractor can pop somewhat of a wheely. The transmission is kinda broken though.. 2nd doesn't work. When the shifter broke I rewelded it and it doesn't seem to work the same. Despite it's weight (cmon, I can barley push this thing up a small slope) it's pretty fast!

idea

I am looking for a Craftsman or MTD tractor that is newer, and has the Briggs opposed twin or Kohler magnum twin. I am going to modify it into a go kart by doing pulley mods and changing out a few other components. Straight pipes obviously! Should be a fun project.
