I finally got this thing up and running this weekend. The previous owner left me some.. 'challenges' but I'm in the clear now. I took it to the bush where I've been go karting lately.
It's bigger, heavier, faster, noisier, more stable, runs longer on a tank of petrol...etc..etc... It was fun, super fun... but somehow not as fun as a go kart

I know right, that doesn't make sense. I think the terrain/track makes a big difference to the "fun feeling".
Some of the tracks were just rocky and bumpy. On the few trails where I could open the throttle and get this engine into the power band it was great...err... I mean scary. I was worried I was going to hit a tree. For a brief time i did take it out on the gazetted road (wide graded gravel). Doing a snaky at speed was fun but that can lose it's appeal after a while.
I do want to try it on dunes / beach sand. After that I might think of selling it. Go karts, electric ones at that, have that fun feeling and I can take them more places than a larger buggy.
I'll get some video for you guys next time. I didn't want the cameras distracting me from my first drive of this new toy.
