I finally got this thing up and running this weekend. The previous owner left me some.. 'challenges' but I'm in the clear now. I took it to the bush where I've been go karting lately.

It's bigger, heavier, faster, noisier, more stable, runs longer on a tank of petrol...etc..etc... It was fun, super fun... but somehow not as fun as a go kart 😳 I know right, that doesn't make sense. I think the terrain/track makes a big difference to the "fun feeling".

Some of the tracks were just rocky and bumpy. On the few trails where I could open the throttle and get this engine into the power band it was great...err... I mean scary. I was worried I was going to hit a tree. For a brief time i did take it out on the gazetted road (wide graded gravel). Doing a snaky at speed was fun but that can lose it's appeal after a while.

I do want to try it on dunes / beach sand. After that I might think of selling it. Go karts, electric ones at that, have that fun feeling and I can take them more places than a larger buggy.

I'll get some video for you guys next time. I didn't want the cameras distracting me from my first drive of this new toy.

Completely understand, that’s why we’re all here. The go kart is just *fun*. It’s the smallest 4-wheel car possible. You‘ll know it’s a go kart when you can basically carry it all by yourself or manhandle it out of the truck bed. When you approach small car size (even Morris Mini Cooper size) it’s no longer fun, at least in the same way.

I took my shifter dingo to an old motocross track that has a circle track also. I made a few laps. It was rough and bumpy. A dirt bike would have been perfect but my kart was not.
I built it to fit my yard track.

Now something like yours, a full suspension buggy would probably been much better suited for the MX track.

Hurry up with the vids. I like riding along.

Yeh maybe a race track, or a wide bush track that loops would be good for this buggy. Somewhere I can keep the rev's up.

I think the power to weight ratio is not outlandishly different from my go karts. The major difference being the karts have low end torque, the buggy high end power

I was looking for groups to ride with this buggy. Came across a group on fb that i thought might be a fit. ...OMG was i wrong! Long story short i ended up not driving my buggy and passengering in a fully race fledged maverick R worth AU$150k (US$107k) Mind blown 🤯😵💫😵

Later in the day i went driving by myself. Only lasted about 20min (00:20hrs) when the fuel pump went kaput (stopped working). Had to walk 5km (3mile) back to my ute (pick up)...
