Hey everybody I'm new to the forum pretty much. I've been searching around here getting ideas for a buggy I want to build and have seen lots of good things and very good help from everybody so I decided to finally post and get this thing started. I'm in the planning phase of an off road buggy and found one picture of one I want to build something very similar to. Still trying to figure out how to post pictures but the buggy I found is green with white A-arms and trailing arms. If anybody has more pictures of this buggy i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

The thread is on trailing arm suspension. The thread was started by cpt.skier. Thanks

Welcome to the forum and please fill out your profile so we know where you are from. ......

There is a sticky in the general gokart discussion section on how to post pictures. .....we like pictures. ....

So when you get going start a thread in the build section and include plenty of pics. .....

You mean this one?

That almost looks like a Piranha but, the rear trailing arms are different so, probably not...

More than likely, that's a random pic Rusty found; as they're both still current users, I PMed both Rustydog & fowler asking if they can shed any light on the subject... now we wait...

Definitely not a piranha

Front end is all wrong as well as back end

The middle frame work is off as well

If u want trailing arms then go 3 link

They act like double a arm as far as camber
But are as strong as trailing arms

Thanks fowler. I was leaning towards dual a arms on all 4 corners because it seemed simpler than the 3 link setup. I have installed lift kits on 4 wheelers and trucks several times but putting a professional lift on something is way different than building your own suspension from scratch. Is there a difference in tubing size to use between trailing arms and dual a arms? I have experience with metal but never fabricating something quite like this.

Also, i was planning for a 450 2 stroke engine but the more i plan the bigger this thing gets and the more power i will need. Any reccomendations for power to weight? I dont need this thing doing 100mph but i would like it to get up and move fairly easy. Oh and im sure i want it 2 seater.

Thanks for all the help so far. Really appreciate it.
