Hi Members,
I'm new to the forum and need some help.
I was given a Thunder Kart S-400 frame.
Good shape,just needs paint.
There was not a motor so I thought I would try to use a 6hp Briggs& Stratton Intek 190.It's from a tiller I use to have.
The motor is not set up for throttle cable and a kill switch.
Is it possible to set this motor up to use on the frame.
I was told the original motor was a 3.5hp Briggs.
Any help would be great.I would like to set it up for my son.

Thanks Russ2251,
It does. My problem I think will be setting up the throttle cable and kill switch.
The run lever is not set up to connect a cable for the throttle.
I was wondering if I will need to make modifications for this.
I will try to get pictures of the actual engine this week end and post them.

I believe there are throttle kits available for your Briggs. Perhaps someone else will chime in with part number. Try a web search.
If you are inexperienced with small engines, I strongly recommend leaving governor intact...meaning use current linkage "as-is" with the Briggs throttle kit.
Governor protects engine and operator (son). It can be removed at any time down the road if you get tired of this "built in" rpm limiter.
Depending on how drive line is set up (chain, clutch, sprockets etc.) kart should hit speeds of around the 30 mph mark.

It should, that's what it's meant for, to keep the RPM from exceeding a certain limit.
