Hi guys I'm new to the group and I'm from Texas. I just got into karting or building karts as my two boys are getting old enough to reach the pedals.

just picked up a Murray Explorer and a Carter 2336-ZXH to rebuild both are mostly complete but will be getting new paint and of course some new horse power. only thing missing is the tie rods on the Explorer if anyone knows the size needed that would help.

I bet BigWes knows the tie rod type (assuming they're super special and/or rare) because he has a Murray.


Otherwise, buy whatever you like. Separate tie rod/ball and socket ends, your own threaded rod, etc. There's tons of materials out there in the world and most "yard karts" use generic parts. Post a photo of the tie rods you're looking for anyway.
