Hi all I'm Garry in joppa md. I have been playing with go karts for a few years now, the grand kids have a ball in them (so do i)

have a 6 hp dead axle manco and a little baja motorsports dn165 with a live axle and a pred 212cc

some of the grand kids are big enough to drive the manco now so i picked up this old dingo for myself

it needs a bit of work main thing it the right side hub must have lost the key and some jackass welded it on. so it needs a new axle and hub. does anybody know how wide the axle is? and i assume it uses a stepped hub ?

My dingo has a solid 1" axle and it's only stepped down at the threads. The hub bottoms out on the axle. There is a spacer sleeve between the hub and bearing.

Post pics so we can see your set up.

And welcome to the forum

Here's some pic's of it. it looks like they welded the hub to the spacer

and the nut is tacked on too. the hub will move about 45 deg. on the axle so i'm thinking i'm going to need a new axle and hub

Probably best....as much as I like GoPowersports....BMI has some really good axle prices....but shop both....and include shipping...and the 10% discount for DIY members at GPS...just to be sure.

You could try to save the axle by carefully cutting around the weld...

Wait, what do you mean by

the hub will move about 45 deg. on the axle

Do you mean the hub rotates on the axle? That would indicate the weld didn't hold; IIWM I'd cut off the tack & see if the hub can be removed from the axle...

i had some time so i took it apart, turns out the axle is scrap and 36 inches long not counting the threaded ends
also pulled the engine off, check out the weld or lack of on the jack shaft

took some pics of the little baja cart and the manco too
