So firstly, I'm new here.
I'm about to build a new minibike.
Here's one I just recently I built for my friend with some of his help. I think its either a 7 or 8 horse honda, I cant remember which at the moment. We built it completely from scratch.
It tops out at 40, and absolutely screams, When it accelerates you have to hang on pretty tight, and if it wasnt for the lip on the seat, you'd probably slide off.
Best part is, it only run us $250.

Heres the go cart project I am currently working on too, also built from scratch

A day ago, I picked these up for free,

I've decided that I'm going to put the motorcycle engine on the kart, and use the swing arm on my new minibike project.

Now, this I picked up originally for the go cart, it needed some valve work, but now it runs great. But with the change in plans with the go cart, I will be using this Twin, to power the minibike.

I want to get started on the minibike first, as I can do that in a couple of weeks. Though, I'm not sure whether to do more of a street looking bike, or more geared toward offroad. It'll probaly depend on what wheels I can manage to get most likely.

A kid at school had it, He was wanting to get rid of it, so he gave it to me.
He told me it RAN, when he took it off the bike like a year ago.
Its pretty much complete, except He still has the carbs at his house. It has sat out side a bit, So it will defiantly need cleaned up.
Good deal I think, I should be able to get it going with a little work.

I haven't decided yet, I'll end up doing both whether I build it for the street or dirt

I'm probably going to pick it up soon, its only 10 bucks.

Well, Theres a fullsize rolling chassis, with swing arm, front end and Good rims and tires. and engine block basically for 50 bucks.



I think I will grab that, and sell the swing arm off the warrior, and use the front end, wheels and swing arm from the yamaha frame, and build my own, slighty smaller frame, to fit the briggs twin.
And from looking at the warrior swing arm parts on ebay, it might pay for the yamaha frame and everything anyways.

For reference, I will probably be grabbing one of these, Most likely the one with both shocks and brake caliper.

This swing arm can defiantly pay for itself.
I'm just not sure whether it should be sold as a whole, or in pieces.

Idle sounds funny on that twin. Engine sounds like its spinning fast but the exhaust note is odd at idle.

I'm needing your opinions. You see what what wheels and everything Im going to be using, What Direction should I go with this. To kind of stick with the minibike idea, so I want it to be a bit smaller than A full sized bike.

Yea, I was all excited because it was like holy! I'm going to steal this. I was waiting for someone to bid on it for the last 15 min but figured I had it when it got down to 30 seconds.
I should know better.

Update on the minibike project!
picked up one of the frames above. But it isnt chain drive its runs a driveshaft down to the wheel.
I was a bit disappointed at first, But when I got home, I pulled the crap block off, And disconnected the gear box, It has two nice shafts stick out of both side, Ones splined, the other has a nut on it, but has a keyway, so I may be able to adapt to that.
Then I just have to figure a way to seal, and fill it will gear oil.
I think it Will be really cool.
No more chain hassle, Yay. Nice quite ride.

Well, I was really wanting to shorten the wheel base some, but With the Opposed twin being so long, with the gear box in the way, I'm probaly going to have to make my frame LONGER than the stock one, Crap. Unless, I'm trying to figure out how to make the gearbox come out either under the engine cylinder, or right above it, Problem with both of those options, is with it on the top, the driven pulley might be up next to your leg, and on the bottom it may be below the frame.
