Well....you can always wet sand it and do another coat of clear when it's not 100° in the shade!

Got a question- Im working on my throttle linkage, Im trying to use the thumb throttle from the 4 wheeler to the DuroMax 16hp engine. However Im not getting full throttle due to the short throw distance of the thumb throttle.

Did you sort this issue yet?

Where are you attaching the cable?

My throttle cable solution (if you want to call it that) is really simple. Since I still have the governer (series 30 belt drive) I just drilled a small hole in a "thumb turn" bolt and bolted that to the throttle lever and put a cable stop on the end. I just attached it to a scrap piece of flat metal stock via a cable clamp.

Almost to too simple for this setup, I may change it once I get a better belt drive and remove the governer. It works perfect~

How is that torque converter working out. I recently got a go kart with the duromax and the centrifugal clutch doesn't work. Wanted to upgrade to torque converter and I see they have cheap onew and expensive ones. Wondering how it's holding up for you since it's the exact same engine. Thanks will post somewhere else if you don't want me to clog your thread

torque converter is working fine, its a little loud (wines) but its working just fine. But my cart isnt fast, its pretty slow. I put a litle trailer on the back of my cart and use to haul stuff around my house. Last week i used to to haul firewood, today i used it to haul a chevy LS6 motor from my garage to my workshop out back of my house.

Sweet thank you. Would you happen to have a link to it. And if it held up to pulling that engine it should be fine for my go kart. And nice cars

Building something similar...

I have a Honda 11hp and 20 inch tires in back.

I'm trying to decide on gearing... What did you use for sprocket size? You say slow.... how slow? lots of torque?

Would you do something different?

Thanks...
