Hey gang, and thanks for the forum.
I recently inherited a Roketa GK-37(KTX-90). When I got it, it didnt work (no spark, no battery, needed LOTS of TLC).
So proud to say, I busted my hump and cleaned it up. I was able to remove the throttle cable and put some starter fluid in there and worked until that fuel was gone.
ISSUE:
I went to start it up again, and heard the smallest click. Now I have no power to the horn, engine doesn't even try to turn.
Any ideas what could cause this? No power to anything? Can a bad Starting Relay Solenoid cause no power to the entire vehicle?
WHAT I HAVE TRIED:
I replaced all the electrical components (except the starter solenoid). Just in case one of the NEW components went bad, I swapped them with the old (still nothing). I tried to bridge the start solenoid (which usually sparks), but that doesnt even spark. My volt meter shows that the solenoid is only 7V (I think it read 12V before).
VERIFIED ITEMS:
-Battery has 12V (verified with volt meter)
-Verified that the key is ON
-Removed the Kill switch cable voltage reg.
Side note: I changed the oil (and I thought that I pulled the proper plug, but can someone verify for me?)
It was the big one on the bottom (size 17mm or 18mm). It seemed like oil, but now I am seeing posts about filter drain and oil drain.
