i just got a live axel with 20 inch wheels in the back. i put a new 212 on it with a new 10tooth clutch and 60 tooth sprocket. it will crawl but not go fast and the clutch is smoking. Are the wheels to big and whats the fix? thank you

Also anyone tell from photo of the belt is a good tension? I am not sure what people mean by 1/2 inch of play

I am leaning toward the tourque converter, will I run into any other problems with the sprocket I have on now?

That dingo needs a bigger engine. Those came with 8, 9, and 10hp engines. It also needs a torque converter.

Try this. Take the chain off and see how well just the rear axle spins. You might have bad bearings or locked up brakes.

While your checking the bearing might as well check how well the fronts spin also.

6:1 is awful high gearing for 20" wheels on an off road kart.

If you put a chicomet 30 series/TAV2 on there, it would help massively, otherwise you should be looking at a 7 or 8 to one drive ratio.

Even WITH a TAV2, you should consider upping the gear ratio, but it would at least move.

So based on it being a dingo with 20 inch tires what is my best sprocket size. Again I am not looking to break any speed records just have fun. And I will be getting the torque converter so please factor that in. Also thank you all for the help.
