New go kart slight (or major) issue

I would lock it somehow....that may have been what happened...it jumped into reverse while you were driving.

So... looks like I'm getting a live axle. Great. Is there some sort of kit to convert it or what? What would be the cheapest parts (that aren't total crap) that would suffice?

check out how kart-it did it (too many its) you can skip the stuff and the beginning, but towards the middle/end they put the live axle on the go kart. If you ended up getting just an axle, you might be able to use the rest of your stuff that is already on it.

But the only thing is is that I would have no way of mounting the driven gear. And I would also need a sprocket or tooth thing to go on the driven gear so you can connect it to the sprocket on the axle.
