That is not a clutch. That.... I don't know what that is......
Oh wait! That's PART of a Max Torque SS clutch! Eesh, that must've been bad. Yeah, get that off.

Can we see some pics of the whole kart?

Yeah...I thought it looked like a clutch part....but hoped it wasn't!

Any thought as to the correct clutch to get for it? It has a 60 tooth sprocket mounted to the hub.

What's the crankshaft diameter? The sprocket is almost certainly a #35 chain.

Go to www.ombwarehouse.com and look up "max torque ss". Make sure to get the correct crankshaft diameter, with the 12 tooth sprocket for #35 chain. I have a Max Torque SS clutch on my kart and I love it! It's been beat up a lot but works great!

shaft diameter

In looking at the Briggs website, it shows the shaft diameter to be 3/4'. I am gong to go with that and order a new clutch and some 35 chain...and a brake strap.

Also need some miscellaneous springs and throttle and brake cables. I thought I'd pick up a few bicycle cables locally to work with.

Thanks for the link. I'll check them out.

My new clutch/chain set and new brake band came today. Was able to run a new brake cable and set up the throttle cable to work properly.

Clutch slipped on easily and was able to get it and the axle sprocket aligned....but the sprocket is for a size 40 chain.

I checked and can't get a 40 chain clutch/chain set sent to me by next Friday....so I ordered a new axle sprocket.

Hope to be ready to ride by Saturday, my oldest daughter's birthday.
