Glad I found you all. New to go Karting. Just bought one that had been sitting fir 12 years for $100. Now to get it working. Once i hosed it off i looks ok. Seat says Thunder Kart and floor says Lightning. Can't find anything online yet other than a couple mentions. I already can tell the torque converter is all seized up.

Great find! $100 is a fair price for that, you found a Brister's Thunder Kart. That actually looks quite good for 12 years of sitting!
For the seized TC, I'd recommend getting an electric impact driver on the bolt holding it on and taking of the TC. You need to find out whether it's the TC or the engine that's seized.
