CVT stands for "Continuously Variable Transmission" and is the proper term for what folks on this forum tend to call a "torque converter".

yea that thingamajig. i took the little guy up and down the alley for a little bit today and i gotta say im kinda impressed with it. she's got some get up . i think it might do ok on the paddle cart.

just got news on the 1100 . im gonna try to buy it this monday depending on what my paycheck looks like. needs carb, starter , and exhaust . its a shaft driven 5 spd

got ahold of my friend with the honda 110 tonight , im begining to think my 3 car garage isn't going to be big enough. and if this isn't enough i have another honda 110 atc that will be calling my garage home , should be here sunday. i think im going to take the front end off the dinli atv and put it on one of the 110 honda 3 wheelers to make it a nice little quad , and it will be nice to have front suspension and front brakes.

all these projects are begining to pile up though , im going to have to get it in gear and start turning them out or ill be in over my head soon .

this honda 110 looks to have had a hard life but all it needs is a pull rope and spark plug ( already got the plug tonight) , gonna try to see how she runs tomarrow after work if the sun is still up. the other honda 110 being dropped off sunday appears to be in much better shape than this one is but it also needs a pull rope , i will likely keep the nicer one all original.

ok so im out workin on the beast in the garage as we speak so i can post pics minute by minute. decided to cut the poorly welded front end off of the beast today and re-do it . not sure if it will get tacked up tonight or not as im not sure when my son is coming home and i can't be welding and grinding with him around. but anywho heres the beast coming apart.

and yes the steering will be redone also , and btw those are the honda 110 atc's i picked up this weekend ( f'n blast to ride!!!!) . the one thats more beat up will probly become a donor to the all original one.

more pics , im in for the night being as im already 4 min late to pick up the boy from the sitter. but heres what i got done.

new crossmember for the front to replace the old booger welded stuff. and yes there will be gusseting and more bracing on the top and bottom tubing , i just don't have the time tonight or material.

and here she is on her own weight again about 8 in longer than before

for size comparison you can use the great dane to get an idea of how long it is

got off work early today for the first time in weeks, i get ready to weld some front end support to the frame and it starts to monsoon. it only rained for about 15 min and theres 3 inch's of standing water in my yard , rained hard enough that it blew water 8 ft into my overhead door so i had to stop welding. waiting for the floor to dry so i can get back at it.

and yes..... if you look at my truck the rear slider is open aswell as the passenger side window and wing window,

nice build so far...I am doing something similar with my current build with the 4 wheeler front end and what not...what are you doing for steering?? also, are you putting suspension in the back or leaving it the way it is??

im pretty much using the 4 wheeler tie rods and the go cart steering wheel with a custom made pitman arm . the pitman arm thats in the pics now is not what i will be using the PO did that and i wouldn't trust it for 10 ft. as for suspension im undecided, it kind of depends on what motor i go with on it . i know ive been back and fourth a lot on the powerplant but if i get the yamaha 1100 shaft drive motor for my other cart next week then this cart will be getting the 550 kawi.

i was discussing the rear suspension with a co-worker today and remembered that i have a perfect donor differential that i could use to make an independent rear suspension using pto shafts or cv axles and custom a-arms and hubs. i really want irs because i will be jumping this pig and i want a long travel but still smooth riding suspension for the rear.

heres what i did after the rain today , hacked off the tubing in the rear and re-used it for the supports in the front. i think it looks sweet but ill let you guys decide.

ive been racking my brain on this problem , even with it being stretched 8" when i sit in it im slightly crunched still so it would be difficult to operate the pedals . and to add to the complications here is all the things i will need to operate gas , brake, clutch , and shifter . i was thinkin on making it work like this

- gas and brake operated off the pedals after i move them ahead as much as possible, and i plan on having front and rear brakes on the same master cyl.
- shifter on the left side frame rail within close reach of the steering wheel
- clutch lever on the steering wheel , it should work because the steering is 1/4 turn full crank either way.

thanks , yea im still thinkin on what i wanna do for a cage but just like my other build , im planning on doing the cage last.
