Just picked up this little military engine for a mini bike build -Made by Teledyne Continental - 1.5 hp - waterproof ignition - overhead valve - all the typical military stuff. The gov used them for generators, pumps ect. way underrated hp wise. This engine ws built in 1987. Looking to build a old school/miltary bike.

nice engine for trying to boost. it already has a scroll shape to it's blower housing. have you cranked it yet? how much air does it blow? think it might be enough to supercharge it? how much did you end up giving for it?

mil engine

Cost me $150.00 - bought this weekend at the Knob Creek machine gun shoot. Havent started it yet - just got home this morning from KY. Proably be removing most of the shrouds except for the one over the flywheel. These engine were designed for sationary use and to run for days at a time so cooling was a big deal.

the three bangers in the aircraft tractors are strong and fast. they pulled the governor out of one, the thing did 40-50mph on a flight deck!!!! not a good idea at sea.
