Need info on 60's Fox Kart

Hello folks. As per my introduction, I've recently acquired my grandpa's old Fox kart. I'm looking to restore it. My major question involves the original blue paint color for the frame. Can anyone give info on a close color match? Or an exact one? Thank you.

Btw, any other information on them would be very appreciated and helpful as well

I can't help you much, but according to one source, Fox Corp. became Bird Engineering. Just a little tidbit I thought I'd share.

I unfortunately don't think you are going to get the name of the colour and match it that way. You are just going to have to go to a paint or automotive paint store and have them match it as closely as they can

I was trying to look for any tidbit of info I could get on it lol. Been doing extensive internet research and very little has come up. I think you're right. I may just have to wing it. Too bad that it's not documented like cars are with paint codes and such.

Yeah, unfortunately there's almost NOTHING at all on the internet about any brand of karts, except there's a lot of Manco manuals out there.
Unfortunately a lot of people just didn't save the manuals.

…& would not disturb the patina

Especially, with it's "known" backstory
…& it's connection to your family's history

It's hard to tell but it looks similar to Ford engine blue (the lighter version)

I totally understand. A family friend of ours actually has my dad's old Lancer kart from the 60's and he totally restored it. So my goal is to eventually have both karts in my possession. They would look nice side by side totally restored. Fingers crossed that happens lol.

...like maybe, some old "victory" photos of dad or gramps (with their karts)

Do ya have the "pull cord"?
Looks to be 2 cycle (if so don't use straight gas in it)
(those 2 cycles have a kool sound)

As far as restoration,
…"chicks" dig "battle wounds"
…every scrape & ding has "a story" behind it
…& faded paint is a "sign" of wisdom
(kinda like paintin' over the Mona Lisa)

...but ask yourself, do ya really want ta paint over (history) a 60's era "racing kart", with a known history?
...cause then it would/could be "any" 60's racing style kart, with a new paint job

I have a whole photo album full of old racing pics from the 60's. They're all pretty blurry though. I'll try to get more pics of my grandpa's kart soon. Btw, I hear what you're saying, but I still think that I'm going fully restored. But thank you for the feedback.
