Need ideas for 250sx go cart

I have a 1985 honda atc 250sx that runs great. I want to try and incorporate the engine into a cart. Lots of issues obviously. Shaft drive, short trac width, shaft drive, heavy. Oh, and did i mention it has a shaft drive? Any ideas or pics of anyone who has done this? I know i can figure it out and it will scream. Advantage is the clutch set up, electric start and reverse. Very reliable engine too.

Turn the engine sideways, and attach a sprocket to the output.

Don't destroy a perfectly good ATC!!! You wont have nearly as much fun on a cart as a 3 wheeler. Either that or sell it for 1000$ and buy a bike engine.
