Uh, well hello there. I'm new here. And this seemed like the best place to ask this question. So I'm just an amateur teen with a dad whos a homemade mechanic, so I know how an engine works. And well I don't have a car...nor a license. And well to spend time I'm deciding to build the bestest strongest beast of a kart that's off road cause friend has 16acres and I plan to rip thru those hilly 16acres. I needed horsepower and torque...because why not? After countless hours of surfing the web for the best engine, I came across the 999cc Duromax engine V-twin:
www.duromaxpower.com
Seemed great... Except one problem. No where online could I find a video modifying it or putting on a go kart except for "red beards garage" but they didn't particularly explain it thoroughly on how to "use" it, mod it correctly, etc.
Couldn't find a Hi, Low, Reverse transmission/gearbox that could handle this kind of power.
Can anybody help me find a transmission worthy. And any advice on how not to blow myself up after modding the engine?? And find parts that can handle the power? Thanks
