Hi I bought an old manco go kart for $50 with a 212cc preadator engine. I need help fixing/finding some wheels. The bearings are shot and the back non-drive wheel didn't have a bearing inside the wheel.
Thanks

:welcome2:

You did well on the purchase price, unfortunately, you now have to spend money on decent wheels, those are rubbish; the only half decent one is the drive wheel & that's not great...

There are many parts suppliers, one of our favourites is Go Power Sports...

Flat-free solid tires on the front. I had to do a second take because they look like low-profile tires. How well do those work?

I'm not even sure if any of the wheels are what actually came on the kart, but replacement wheel bearings are cheap and a dime a dozen.

BMIkarts.com

Tons of vendors on that famous auction site...

Your front spindles are going to be 5/8", so a 5/8" ID bearing... The rear axle is....1"? Not certain.

I am keeping the kart but don't won't to spend a ton of money. The new axel will cost to much so I'll pass on that

He said he'd pass on the upgrade, McKutzy. :D

He'd have to at least cut off the axle nubs flush with the frame, add live axle bearing hangers, the bearings, a live axle and get live axle wheels/hubs.

Besides, a one-wheel drive kart is conceivably faster anyway; it's gonna turn sharper than a solid live axle and there's less rotational mass for the engine to contend with.

The current drive wheel is a 15-6-6. I don't know how this wheel and rim sizing system works. Can somebody point me in the direction of wheels and tires that will fit?
Thanks

oh yeah , true . some times you do. I have some that dont have split rims and they have tubes in them. I was just referencing what I have.
The reason behind using a tube is if the bead doesnt seal between the tire and rim to hold air.

"Fall or Winter air"...... Care to elaborate on this subject?????

Is that kinda like blinker fluid or greasable muffler bearings???...

I'm looking for new tires and rims for both the front and back. Can someone please suggest some tires that can be bought from go power sports or somewhere simmilar?

You need totally new on the front (rims and tires, bearings)

But your rear wheels and tires look FINE. Even the 15" tires still have the whiskers on them. And they're Carlisle brand = Very Good.

1. Are you looking for OEM style rims and tires for the front and back in any event?

2. Which Manco kart is this? Does it have a model # decal on it?
2A. Looks like a model 415. http://kartingdistributors.com/pdfs/gokarts-minibikes/model-415/415_operatorsmanual_20050223.pdf

You have a confusing array of photos. From the above manual, the front AND rear wheel bearings appear to be Part #5090 Bearing, ID 5/8" x 1-3/8" OD Snap Ring.
