Need help building crg kali kart (Red Baron) from scratch.

Get the chassis rolling and then get brakes working before you even think about starting the motor with it connected. Brakes are the number one priority in my book. Did I mention brakes?

Do you know what web sites I can get good deals on and what sizes should I do because I've seen countless different sizes and soft - hardest stuff and what kind of brake will fit?

Imo tour best bet for brakes is ebay, you can pick up a whole hydraulic set off an atv for under $50. That will give you more than enough stopping power.
Is there any specific name I should look for?
No, just hydraulic brakes. You can put the words quad or motorbike in there too

What they said. It looks like e-bay has the cheapest deals, especially for used parts. That said, I don't have the best of luck with e-bay purchases. Most of the time it's been with packing and shipping issues. Most recently it was a gasket set that the postman felt the need to fold up before stuffing it in the mailbox. All the way from the east coast in perfect condition until it got 50' from my front door.
There are several online suppliers for kart/mini-bike parts. I'm new to this stuff so I can't tell you the best place to shop, but you should be able to find anything you like. I like watching youtube videos for examples of how to AND how NOT to do things.

So how much are you wanting to spend on this chassis getting it going ? Cause that brand of kart.............
Rear axle hubs and brakes.............. $400
front suspension and steering.......... $300
tires and wheels........................... $400 (wheels are $60 EACH)
Motor mount for predator usually..... around $100 (gotta have this to tighten chain cause it slides)
And thats just to get a bare roller going. I am asking cause i been through exactly what you are going through right now. I had a 125cc shifter and i had way more than that in it after i redid everything.
This is a friendly heads up so you know !

Go to your local track. Always people selling used parts, for really cheap. And you'll get tips
