ive made an electric go kart out of a taylor dunn sc-50 (i think) its a 36v setup and it works great and is a ton of fun, an still capibal of pulling a good bit of weight
however i have damaged the throttle assembaly and i can only seem to locate a new replacement on ebay for $200 im just trying to find any way of replacing the part for cheaper or purchasing a used part. or any input at all really. its taylor dunn part number 62-033-00 and can also bee seen on this ebay link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... K:MEWAX:IT
the throttle works intermittently and its failing to return to to "closed" posistion and has to much play in it. i know that the throttle has two switches inside it and some kind of "potentiometer" to varry voltage from 6-11.5volts for the standard taylor dunn throttle and controller. but im searching for any way to avoid buying a $200 part as that is about the amount of money i have invested in the go kart itself.
thanks
