As some of you know, I FINALLY found me an old mini bike. And its an old Sears Roper at that,:wai:..... Found a used rear wheel assembly I needed. And the 2 speed transmission I found on eBay. What I couldn't find those ,was the bracket for the 2 speed. The one that holds/makes up the jack shaft assembly. After looking at omb , and remembering a thread where our very own rmm727 made a copy of the bracket I needed. Hmmmm, after a short conversation, I now have a custom built for my use, bracket. Looks exactly like it would have, from the factory. Omg! Very nice work! I test fit it onto my chassis. Perfect fit. No fiddling with it. Just slid right into place. I test fit the clutch set up into the bracket..... Man, this was the silver lining to my otherwise dreary day. Looks perfect, to me..... :wai:
Thank you very much Ryan. Not sure what I would have done without your help.
After another short conversation, I asked for permission to baost and brag about the new bracket, I was given a green light. :2guns::lolgoku:

OK folks, if you need a custom bracket or something to that effect, send a PM to RMM727 with the pertinent information on what you need. If its something he can make for you, he said he would gladly lend a hand. (Small fee of course.... :lolgoku:) I could have made me something myself, BUT it would NOT have been as nice as what I received. This might be the light at the end of your tunnel, on a part you just can't seem to get right, or you just can't make. Look at the following pictures to see his quality work. From first conversation, to it being in my hands, was a 4-5 day turn around too. Great price for what I got. Could NOT be any happier, even if it was free.....
If you have something you want made, like a battery tray, reproduction part,ect... try him out. If he can do it, you won't be disappointed.
And now for some pics..... :wai:

I'll see how many he still has and call you or email ya. All together, its close to $300. There is a company that is making/selling reproduction kits, but I can't buy one when I put it in the basket and the owner won't return my emails.... :censored:
EDIT..... EDIT..... I revised the price........

No, $300 for the 2 speed set up. The bracket would be a little more. And then a couple bearings and some chain.... Done up right, you're probably looking at closer to $400. I have almost $360 in mine..... And I'm not finished..... :lolgoku:

Yes its a double post but for good reason.......
I just heard from the guy I bought the 2 speed set up from. He has 2 NOS 2 speeds left...... $177..... Each..... You still have to buy a $80 clutch to make this work......
EDIT
Can get the max torque double sprocket clutch for $60......

IMO, this is what this community is all about; yes, the forum is called DIY Go Karts (as in do it yourself) but, this is the next best thing; no matter what it is, if you can't do it yourself, chances are there's someone here who can & will do it for you...

Well done Ryan, not only for having the skills to do the job but for the generosity to want to do the job for someone else
