I agree, nice job!

I do think you are going to be very dissapointed with the way it steers. Maybe consider going one wheel drive or springing $ for a differential. Though those comet diffs may be more than you want to sink into it.

I know, the steering is hard even wheeling it around the workshop!!

Chain drive done, need to get throttle hooked up now, and brakes.

I like what you're doing so far, I really do look forward to seeing how this deal handles.... live axle and that front end will be very very interesting to see the outcome.

Not too bad for vibration, definately feel it through your arse though :D
Managed a little throttle cable set up, not sure if I'll keep it. It depends whether I can think of a better design, but it does work alright. made it out of a bicycle front brake, as you may be able to tell.

I have done some test runs now. It goes quite well, and after tweaking the choke, throttle and governer paddle it now doesn't seem so underpowered. I think it seemed underpowered before because it as not opening the throttle anywhere close to full.

I have been working on the brakes this afternoon, although haven't got any photos to show yet. It is basically a big scrub brake on the right tire, which obviously would stop both wheels because it is live axle. I may well put a bicycle front brake on it too though.

Heres the brake. It works well enough to lock both rears up, so I think it is adequete.
