Very nice, i like the black diamond plating. It could use a torque converter, and an air filter for sure, i wouldnt even ride it without a filter.

Is the mustang yours?

I like the kart! What hubs do you use to hold the rear tires to the hub? and, since it's a street kart, why did you go with live axle?

You will never understand untill you drive a kart with a live axle. I remember when I was used to single wheel drive then I stepped up to live axle Whoaaaa.

So let me get this straight, that is a 1" axle with a 1/4" key way so you use key stock to make the sprocket/wheels spin w/ the axle and lock collars to hold them in place? Is your axle 1" keyed all the way to the end? The ones on NT have threads on the end, what is the point of that? Finally, where can you get those hubs for the wheels? And, where can you buy those sweet racing slicks?:auto:

The driver's position is offset and being that it's a street kart I wonder why? I'm thinking "street kart" means that it's made for a paved surface - maybe it's a racing classification or something I'm not familiar with?

The axles with threaded ends are usualy intended for lower cost fun type karts. This link has a pretty good pic of race kart style hubs that are simalar to his: http://store.kartingstore.com/servlet/Categories?category=Hubs

Race kart hubs usualy use a keyway thats approximately the same length as the hub its self. These hubs typically dont use separate lock rings to hold them on, they have a clamp system built right into the hub that security locks it to the axle.

These hubs, wheels and tires are avalible at most any on-line kart supply store (or kart shop) that specialises in race karts. Heres a couple more suppliers that probably sell all these components:
