I have recently drug out my old yard cart to do some inprovements! I had a 5HP I/C Briggs, but im switching to a yt 125cc yamaha engine with a 5-speed. and am converting it to a live axle and hydraulic disc brake. As well as lengthing the car a little bit to acommadate my long legs a little better(LOL). I will get some pics over the weekend and post on monday if any one is interested in checking out what im doing incase any one else is thinking of trying something like this!

Good looking build, but that muffler and exhaust is going to give you a power drop. To get the full benefits of the 2 stroke you need the 2 stroke exhaust.

I agree with Theo, the exhaust needs to be the original or close to it. Other than that I think it looks awesome. That thing is going to move with that small sproket.

I will ask what 454 did, where are you going to put the clutch? Maybe on the shifter handle? That's what I've seen before on a much higher scale.

Went to the Atlanta Moter Speedway back in 2008 and saw a shifter Kart with a 1000cc engine that was insane....

Yup, keeping the stock exhaust, or getting an aftermarket one for that engine is important. As for the clutch, like noley said having it on the shifter is nice, thats what i did mainly because i didnt have much cable, but it works great.
