Well... I did need to feed those cats. There is about 10 of them sitting there watching me.
I thought about a jackshaft, but I like the hassle free of no jackshaft. Its lined up rather well.
I'd say this kit is worth it! I've had tons of fun riding it around. You only need a crescent wrench and a screwdriver to put the kit together. Also you need some primer and paint for the frame. Don't use Valspar...It doesn't like to stay on when it hits the dirt.
The only thing the kit doesn't come with is the clutch, chain cover and engine. Max Torque clutch from mfg was only $24 and works perfect! I also got a guard and moved the pegs back.
I just ordered some larger tires. Steel spilt 10" rims. High speed bearings with a 60 tooth sprocket. Should be able to haul down the road when I get them! They weren't cheap by no means. I figured I'd rather spend extra money on wheels and avoid insurance claims.
All and all I'd buy all the parts seperate and not get the little wheels. Unless you like to go around 20mph. I had the tire go flat on me once, but I patched it up with a bicycle patch and filled some cactus juice in it. Never went flat again!
