Hey KingCobra, you mentioned that you like fat tires? How about a 205/30-10?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mini-Chopp...rs-/322626488367?_trksid=p2385738.m2548.l4275

Man, with my bare frame, the temptation........

Those are cool and would match my front tire but they aren't as wide as my 50's. I have the 205/50 X 10". What is that' 205/30' 2" narrower or?? These tire size stamps are hard for me to figure out so I stay to the traditional 21 X 12 X 8" type ratings :D Thanks, I never saw those before though.

I just noticed that your rear rim's are chromed. Did you get them chromed yourself or did they come with the frame?

And we worked pretty closely with them squids too :D

Ahh, finally some common ground. I've always wondered about taking 5000 men, dressing them in bell bottoms and locking them up in the middle of the ocean for six months! No wonder marines are always running laps above deck on carriers! ;)

Well, took my 2" aluminum engine spacer block to my buddy's garage and drilled the 4 holes and took it home and dropped the 5/16" bolts through it as it sat on the frame and it was dead on!!! Now, I think I will wet sand it and shoot it white so it don't stand out too much even though it should be concealed pretty good under the engine and mostly behind the clutch.

easy..
205/50 means 205mm wide and sidewall height of 50% treadwidth (102.5mm)
overall diameter 254+205 459mm (18")

205/30 means 205 wide (same same) and 30% sidewall (61,5mm)
overall diameter 254+123 377mm (15"..well 14.8)

or in your imperial units.. one's an 18 - 8 x 10
the other an 15 - 8 x 10

Yeh, I was beginning to think that. But I can picture inches better. Thanks for converting..... :D I have this cool 'soft' measuring tape , I guess it came from a seamstress shop, that I can pull out the tape and one side is MM and I flip it over and the other side is INCHES!! Thanks.

Err, ya got any pics? :) :)
I will once it stops raining. And to all!!!!>>>>

LOL, after 30 years of living outside of the US, I'm having to figure out the imperial system again. When will my county join the rest of the world with a proper system of measuring? Even the British don't use the imperial system any more, and they invented it!

Purdy!

A couple of question if I may. The brakes, are they hydraulic or cable? Is the motor mount in it's original place or did you move it? Whats the tube sticking out just in front of the jack shaft?

Nice welds on the jack shaft mount!

BTW, what's up with the gator?

That gator is watching my back LOL....... No, he's for my RC air boat and thought I would toss him into the mix like I did the squirrel...(in which nobody asked about him LOL) :D.... The block will slide with the engine on top of the original slotted engine mount holes. That metal tube is for my chrome chain guard and it uses a long bolt. The rear length of the chain guard bolts just forward of the wheel bearing. This chopper was manufactured by a Hydraulics Company in Tennessee I believe strangely enough, and given hydraulic brakes. The hydraulic lines are plastic like the airshock lines. It came with the original title but not for making road legal. Someday I will scan and post a photo of it. Does your rigid have any parts that have the three letters CMB ( Custom Mini Bike) on them?? The front forks? The frame serial ## is on top of the engine mounting area and the engine sits over it. Cool place to hide that ID #.

(chuckle) Where I'm at, you have to watch your own back! We get these guys wandering through here semi-regularly!

The campground has a large pond that they seem to like!

Do you feel that the nylon line is adequate for brakes? I've been looking for a brake line on my chopper, so this would be a less expensive alternative.

Yes I do. Think about the 200 psi that easily goes into air-shock lines. I doubt I'm even applying 50 psi when I am stopping. The lines are thicker and stiffer than usual. I trust them. Even though I trust them, I may look into some cool stainless braided lines or even covers like they dress up hot-rod engines with. If you find something cool along them lines, feel free to post it here. Dressing lines can be 1/4" ID I spose and my lines measure (with a caliper) 3/16" w/ brass fittings. Yeh, 1/4" dress-up stainless braided line in blue or ?? , would look great. I've hung up my oil soaked chain last night to drip dry over the 80w gear oil pail and it looks good. I will be installing that today after I fish out :D the master link from that pail...It's done dripping but don't be fooled, as there is about two ounces left inside the rollers that get's squeezed out as it runs((thank goodness for chain covers :D ...time for my rubber gloves now as 80w 90 gear oil is nothing to laugh about.
