I'm making a cart ( http://bit.ly/bA40in ).
It needs to be able to transport around 150 KG (including cart/engine/weight). It does not have to be fast, 10 km/h (6 mph) will do.. any higher would transform the cart from a "tool" to a "vehicle" subject to local DMV regulations
Power inverters (12/24v dc to 230v ac) are very expensive over here. So I was wondering if a 1000w inverter will provide enough power from a large 100-200 AH battery, to drive this contraption.
What do you guys think would happen if this cart was powered by let's say a 2200w electric chainsaw motor. (a more expensive alternative is a 1500w 1400RPM electric motor).
The inverter can handle 2000w momentarily, and 1000w sustained. Will these engines put to much strain on the inverter, or do you think they will be able to propel the cart without maxing out in terms of watt's used?
