Hooray?

I thought that was a fairly normal way to do it, assuming you're referring to putting a brake band around the clutch drum.

I built a kart many years ago that had the brake set up like this. I annihilated a sapling ginko tree when my chain fell off and I had no brakes.

So kudos on the double brake system.

I'm patting you on the back, real hard Goat.

Atta boy!

Using the clutch drum as a brake drum?--a model of simplicity.

Now your OTHER brake is just a nifty hand brake, right?

It's pretty bad when our moderators are cold and brutal. I thought that was MY job. :D

. Zoom in on the pic and explanation. It is about a clutch brake with a scrub brake backup. Come on guys read the whole post.

. Thanks, close. Actually the clutch brake is my awesome and preferred brake. The scrub brakes suck and only there for an emergency.

Where's Chancer? He wasn't a fan of clutch band brakes. He'd tell you that if your chain goes, it is useless. But as part of a dual brake system. Ya it's ok.

No, I really was wondering what was the relevant part of your post...

The relevant part is an easy way to add good brakes and keep your scrub brakes for a back up. If you enlarge the display and read the text you will understand.:backtotopic:
