Hello to all
I'm new here. Looking for all the help I can get.
I was given a old Murray kilowat go cart a couple weeks ago.
I've started disassembly and painting parts.
The cart is mostly complete but will need a engine.
I want enough power to make it a little wild but nothing crazy. What are your opinions on selection.
I have 19 x7x 8 tires up front and plan on 21x10x8 out back.
Never had a go cart before so this will be fun

Welcome to the forum! Having such large tyres will mean that you will have to gear quite low to get the kart moving. A larger engine paired with a torque converter will help

If you have the ability to strap that on and make it work you should be just fine.

Most people use industrial type engines for karts.

I took a 200cc aircooled 4 speed and put it on a dingo.
Its wild.

Are the tire sizes listed anywhere near stock? I like stock/OEM but, if for no other reason than simplicity, one size tire to rule them all is a great idea; meaning same tires all around. BUT the way many karts are configured, the rear axle is mounted higher on the frame than the front axle(s) so it necessitates a larger rear tire to keep the stance correct.

I have no idea what tires came on it stock. But it had old dry rotted 19 on it.
I bought new 19x7x8 tires and wheels for the front.
I will probably to 21x10x 8 out back.

Did it come with a steering wheel, steering shaft, seat frame (or a seat)?

Has everything except the steering wheel and engine.
I have everything else on order

Pedal assembly goes to the brake rod. Rod hooks to a cable under the floor pan. What connects the cable to the caliper

Is there any springs that attach to the caliper?

Caliper actuating arm may need a spring. Going to probably take a little DIY trial-and-error to get this right-"ish". Clevis pins can connect to the arm and maybe the cable. Does moving the actuating arm clockwise (as in the picture) move the pads in the right direction to squeeze the disk?

Yes. I had to make a plunger for the caliper to make it work

I was thinking of possibly using the brake system off the motorcycle.

Does anyone have a part number for the snap ring bearing that's behind the torque converter. It sits on the jack shaft.
I think the dimensions are 19mm x 40 x 12 I can't find one.
Part number on the bearing gives me a 17 mm bore. That won't fit.

19mm is real close to 3/4"
Try looking for American sizes instead of metric.
3/4"x1.5"x1/2"
Or a 99502H bearing.
