This is my idea as of now. That way, I can adjust the torque belt distance and the chain tension.I would be tempted to remove the original mount and weld that one in its place...but then chain tension might become an issue. Maybe cut the sides off the jackshaft plate and mount it flat under the engine?
#23, the stud, is what I need to use. I found another plate that I used instead, but if I find those studs, I can use it on the next kart.

I have the same guard on my Dingo--was wondering whether to cut it off or something. I need to measure the distance from the guard to the ground and then the sprocket distance to ground. There's probably not much ground clearance to be gained by cutting it off
