A 6HP is way too much power. You are going to be tearing the scooter to pieces.
does anybody have any ideas for putting the sprocket onto the rear axle its a plastic rim
This is what I mean about the scooter being torn to pieces. There is too much torque on a 6HP. You want to gear at 5:1. That is not low, but it is low enough to produce too much torque for plastic to hold up for long
I know fixing things is part of the whole DIY thing, but if you are going to be fixing things every time you ride the scooter, it is going to get old really fast.
With that being said, I would also like to see how this turns out. You might even prove us all wrong
