Lololol, such enlightening answers! Hah.

Motor is ok, wrong specs and made to run at 24v safely.

Major wear at 48v, and just BS'd the specs.

Too bad it doesn't have a model number posted on it, it does say it has neodymium magnets though and at that price, it seems too cheap to be that powerful. I think I'll go with oscar on this one about it being overspec'd.

Thanks for the input. I placed a bid and won the auction. If it doesn't turn out to meet my expectations or it burns out prematurely, I'll just take the ($50.00 + ship) hit as a leason learned. I think I read in another post, the least expensive way to go on high torque electric motor was a tread mill. I'm not sure I wan't to go that route. Though I will continue to look on ebay for good deals. If any one here has a connection or is looking to sell one. Please let me know. I can spend up to $150 .

Thanks again,

Yes, this item has sold for up to $100.00. I don't think it's worth that much though. I should have most if not all of my ordered parts by the end of the week. I've been pushing around a wooden go kart I built for my kids last year. They've had alot of fun with it and so have I, until i'm to exhaused to continue pushing. For every down hill there's an up hill. Last month I desided to go electric. I'll take some before during and after picks if I have time.

Either way, it's on it's way to me. I think i'll invest in a voltage meter.
Can you tell me how to attach it for an accurate reading?

The most accurate way to monitor voltage at the motor would be making your voltmeters power and ground connections right at the motor itself.
