Going to add the steam engine. They were tinkering with them in the early 1600s and really got going as a pump in 1698 for draining mines. Eventually they were dropped in factories and made them less dependent on rive side out windy locations.

I'm also gonna say the sun was a pretty darn good invention that EVERYBODY needs.

1. A sharpened rock = knife

2. Lashin' a stick to a rock = hammer

man would have never gotten to the other good stuff
