Here are the wheels I am going to use. 18in but light weight. I am going to try to make this go-kart light so it is not as hard on the cent. clutch I plan to use. I have gotten all of the rust of and put 2 coats of rustolium primer onto the frame. I am going to buy a 2cly horizontal shaft engine with a 3/4in shaft. 75$ for engine,75$ for frame, hopefully I will only spend 350-400ish!

Here is the engine I am getting. Does anyone have any clue what type/how much h.p it has? The owner says the shaft is 3/4 and its a twin cylinder. My guess is 12-20hp! YA!!! For 75$ this is awesome!

Make sure nothing is bent. My Explorer had a small bend in the steering shaft and it made the steering very stiff.

Has anyone made a cart with the front suspension/spindle using an arm going to about the midway part of the frame side and then a typical arm from the front center/middle to the spindle to keep the wheel located properly.

The main idea i'm thinking is using the arm on the side to keep the spindle located instead of the typical arm/A-arm.
